There are some on this board that just don't get it. The puppet on the stage yesterday named Vince Tyra was having his strings pulled by Grissom, Papa, and Postel. Let me give you a couple of points to consider.
1, Does anybody really think it would be reasonable for Interim AD Tyra to hire a basketball coach without being named the Permanent AD? Then why doe he say he feels comfortable doing that? Answer Postel, Grissom, and Papa pulled the strings for him to say that. We all know the AD search process is a sham. It's already been predetermined Vince is gonna be their man. They will find a way to get that salary cut back to him thru the ULAA or some other means!
2. The puppet Tyra says he is , and has been good friends of Mark Jurich. Does anybody on this board really believe that. Bob Gunnell spokesman for TJ shot that down today. Gunnel pretty much said Tyra was not being truthful by saying that. Why does he do this. He thinks you are stupid to take him at his word. Go ask mark Jurich if Tyra is his friend! I think we know his answer.
4. Why do you fire Mark Jurich the same day he is being inducted into the UL Athletic Hall Fame at a dinner that night. Is that the way you want your business run. Apparently that the way he runs his business AKA UL Sports. Is that the way you treat long term employees?? Is that how you would want to be treated?? This guy learned for the Master at this David Grissom his former boss.
5. Do any of you realize Mark Jurich also threw his name in hat for the AD's job recently. Wow what a nice way to eliminate any competition or controversy in this job search Vince! Nice job keep up the good work say the puppet master's!
6. Did anyone catch the part about the savings on salaries would be in the next budget year? Does anyone know when the budget year ends. Just as an FYI it ends June 31,2018. Does anyone want to ask the Puppet Vince Tyra if we are paying 3 top employees until the end of budget/contract year? Your gonna be surprised by what the answer is. The reality is we were told this is about money by Vince Yet were paying people $$$$$ until there contract/budget year expires? Yet this is about the money, that is what we are told. Now we also have to pay people to back fill what these people were doing, and promote others giving them a raise. Do we have any reporters that are interested in asking these questions of Vince.
7. These terminations were not about saving money, they were about the other things mentioned above. Once someone asks these questions, and he answer that will be come plain as day.
8. Some on this board warned from the beginning about Tyra . Now everything predicted by them is beginning to happen.
One other quick note Vince. Please take a poll of the Top 10 basketball programs in this country to understand what that are paying their Head BB Coach . When you average that up, and come up with that salary of around $4,000,000 you make sure that average is the salary you offer our new Top Ten. No you don't have to pay the 7 million Cal is getting paid or the 2 million that Chris Mack is getting paid. Just do tat average OK. Anybody gonna ask Vince that question? Nah don't waste time, because we won't paying that type money to our new coach, nor will he be a Top Ten Coach either. Chris Mack fans don't get your hopes.
