I’m curious how many timeouts we had left at the end of the game? While you can lay the blame on various plays, players and coaches we probably should have called timeouts (if we had them) at two crucial times. The first IMO is definitely after Perry’s second made free-throw. The second, after the lane violation.

After Perry’s free-throw the discussion should have been to put enough pressure on the ballhandler to burn clock, but NO FOULING! On getting the ball in with 0.9 there should have been a cutter to the corner by Deng for a simple bounce pass or a long baseball pass. I prefer the bounce pass, fearful of foul or the ball sailing out-of-bounds with no one touching it on the long pass. In addition, emphasize staying put where the ref hands you the ball.

I will say this, I have been a basketball junkie my whole life and have played in, coached and watched a ton of games - I now think I’ve seen it all!
