I understand that these are just standalone events and not hard data. But unless facilities like hospitals, nursing and funeral homes decided to start stockpiling bodies for other reasons, how do you unlink these macabre events from the pandemic?
And this is occurring during a period in which historic measures were put in place to contain the virus.
There isn’t a vaccine and principles like herd immunity aren’t a sure fix. Even if herd immunity takes hold, how many trucks full of bodies are you accounting for? Will these headlines occurring everyday test the resolve of communities that are told they have to endure this so that herd immunity MIGHT take hold?
Optimists are by definition optimistic. I’m not at all sure that everyone else is prepared for what’s in store to get from here to there. Not when the bodies start really piling up…
