Former University of Louisville wing Shaqquan Aaron has found his next basketball home.

The 6-foot-7 freshman who asked for his release from U of L in April has transferred to USC, he confirmed to Scout.com on Tuesday. He picked the Trojans over San Diego State.

Aaron grew up in the Los Angeles area and spent two years in high school there before transferring to Rainier Beach High, a Seattle area powerhouse that also produced former U of L star Terrence Williams. He was recruited to Louisville by Wyking Jones, an assistant coach for the Cardinals who recently accepted a job as an assistant at California, and picked U of L over Arizona and Washington, among several other schools.

But his first season didn't go as planned. The lanky freshman struggled to catch up with coach Rick Pitino's defensive schemes and arrived on campus at 168 pounds, far below what Pitino and his staff had hoped. It was an uphill battle from there.

I do wish him well.

Considering his body language, and factoring in the article by Bozich, USC is a much better fit for him.
