Howie mentioned this might be a possibility for the season opener next year. While he didn't specify which Bears, I'm fairly sure he's referring to Baylor. It actually would be a very entertaining offensive shootout between two of the top offensive minds in college football.
The downside is that Baylor and Art Briles are taking an intense amount of criticism right now for allowing transfer Sam Ukwuachu to transfer from Boise State. He was kicked off of Boise State's team because of violence against women. After he transferred, he raped a member of the Baylor women's soccer team. He was convicted of the crime recently, and Briles attempted to claim no knowledge of any violent incidents at Boise State. Former Boise State coach Chris Peterson just threw Briles under the bus by stating unequivocally that he briefed Briles on Ukwuachu's disciplinary record.
Nasty business! If we're going to play Baylor in one of those kickoff games, I would wait until about 2022.
