FRANKFORT, Ky. - Nearly six months before they actually play, Louisville and Kentucky football coaches Bobby Petrino and Mark Stoops celebrated and discussed their rivalry on Wednesday at the Governor's Cup Luncheon at the Frankfort Country Club.

Fairly standard fare from both coaches during their comments to the audience and answers from the media. Here are some quick points Bobby Petrino touched on, and we'll expand later with a longer story. Kyle Tucker will cover the Kentucky/Stoops side of things.

**Former U of L QB Jeff Brohm and former UK player Mike Cassity were among the former players honored at this year's luncheon. Both were staff members under Petrino during his first stint at U of L, then during his one season at Western Kentucky, where they remain with Brohm as head coach.

Petrino said he was proud to attend today's luncheon with those players being honored. Tom Andrews and Gary Barnes were also honored on the U of L side.

**Petrino said all of the returning team and nearly all of the 2015 newcomers, save "two or three" who will arrive in the coming weeks or by July, are on campus and have begun class and workouts, working hard in the weight room. Petrino said one player is taking five classes this summer, evidence of how much summer school puts guys on track to graduate. He mentioned one player (didn't specify) will be on track to get a master's by next spring.

As for the team, Petrino said, "I feel really good about what we have coming back on defense" and said, "Offensively, we're a work in progress."

As for the offense, Petrino said they must "find the right combination on the offensive line and Cards have "great competition at QB."
