Future Louisville Cardinal VJ King’s busy summer will continue. King has been competing with Team Takeover on the AAU circuit for the past few months and it was announced on Wednesday he’ll compete in this weekends Nike Global Challenge.

King will be a part of the USA East Team. The Nike Global Challenge is an 8-team, 14-game tournament that features the top high school and U-19 basketball players from the best International Teams in the World and is played under FIBA rules, just like the Olympics.

For the US Participants, the Nike Global Challenge will showcase the top players selected from across the country based on the four regular season sessions of this year’s Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL).

Needless to say, it’s a big honor for King to be selected to represent one of the USA teams. He’s been one of the top performers in the Nike EYBL circuit over the past few months.

Fellow Louisville recruits Maverick Rowan (USA South) and DJ Harvey (USA East) will also participate in the event.
