First of all, has anyone heard about how Quick is doing? He looked like he was knocked out. As far as the rule is concerned, he was in a defenseless position and there was head to head contact. Not only that but it appeared that he took a couple of steps before he was hit so why wasn't the touchdown good? There was no mention in the CJ and I heard nothing on TV coverage though the SEC announcers at the time mentioned targeting as a possibility.

It was clearly targeting the defender has to make an effort to not go for the head he clearly hit high and it was not even close. It should have been 15 yards and defender tossed. Pathetic.
