This has been a wild day. I've gone back and forth all week about what I think will happen. I've brought everything I've heard and everything I've been told to the boards. I said gun to my head, I thought Satterfield would be gone.
It comes out that Satterfield is being retained, and then Thamel breaks the news that Vince Tyra is a candidate at Florida State.
Here's my read/take on the situation after talking to a couple of sources:
- I do believe Vince Tyra ultimately wanted to fire Scott Satterfield.
- I think Neeli was involved in the meetings because she wanted to make the final call.
- So where do we go from here? I've been told that Vince isn't happy because his hands are tied, prompting him to look for other opportunities.
- Then, you have Scott Satterfield who isn't exactly happy here either. I've been told he's also looking for other options.
This is all a mess, and I don't think this is anywhere close to the end of things.
