Just scanning quickly, the 2024 FB Cards schedule strength seems a little weak. The Home schedule seems particularly weak, headlined mainly by Miami FL, Pitt and Georgia Tech. The Away schedule has three or four quite noteworthy games, @Notre Dame, @ Clemson, @ Kentucky, and @ Stanford.

The Cards will play 10 "P5" teams. Note that the term P5 (or even P4) will mean less and less going forward. Home games: 6. Away games: 6.

Home will have 1 FCS team. Five FBS teams (4 ACC).

Away will have 6 FBS (all P5) teams. Four ACC plus two Out-of-Conference major games.

As all of us now realize, The ACC schedule and teams are completely disrespected. ESPN and Fox treat all ACC teams and the entire conference as afterthoughts, as it is to their financial advantage to do so.

Here is the complete Louisville FB schedule, but with only four play dates established (I have noted the current Sagarin ranking from 2023 for each team on the schedule):

HOME:

Austin Peay (8/31/24) (FCS) (Sagarin #127)

Jacksonville State (9/7/24) (FBS - CUSA) (Sagarin #81)

Georgia Tech (ACC) (Sagarin #56)

Miami FL (ACC) (Sagarin #35)

Pitt (ACC) (Sagarin #87)

SMU (ACC) (transitioned from American) (Sagarin #21)

AWAY:

@ Notre Dame (9/28/24) (Sagarin #11)

@ Boston College (ACC) (Sagarin #98)

@ Clemson (ACC) (Sagarin #23)

@ Stanford (ACC) (transitioned from Pac-12) (Sagarin #100)

@ Virginia (ACC) (Sagarin #93)

@ Kentucky (11/30/24) (Sagarin #45)

With this 2024 schedule, the Cards could go 12-0 and still not get into the top 20. (That's obviously an editorial remark by me). Clemson, Notre Dame and SMU are the only moderately respected teams.
