DEFENSE!!

Glad to see CP building up the offense at half and after the game.It needed to be done to boost their confidence at that end.

However,the gameplan at the other end and its execution were simply marvelous.First of all,Tuttle was a perplexed young man last night.He didn't know if he was being doubled down or not(neither did I) from one possession to the next.That confusion about what our team was throwing at him on every touch unhinged him a bit.Btw,their offense starts and runs thru him.

Secondly,the closeouts on their 3 point shooters and straight in-the-face sticky defense to deny a lot of good looks led to what was guys just trying to beat their man off the dribble.That's not what they are and their 3 point shooters came unhinged also.

That was a masterful plan and execution of team defense I've seen from this group in a while.

It was definitely a masterful plan by Pitino on both ends of the floor. The way CRP opened up the offensive playbook got noticed more by many, but the solid defensive game plan was indeed huge.
