Ryan could move to the #2 guard for those pull up jumpers and as the zone buster from 3-rangeHe would be the biggest pick up of the offseason. We are in dire need of ball handlers. He and Perry would be a good core group of guards with McMahon in relief as well.
Not sure if they do this, but I’d prefer Perry to play the 1 on offense and guard the 2 on defense if he and McMahon were the starting guards. I am assuming VJ will play the 2 and McMahon will be 6th man though coming in when Perry or VJ needs a breather.Ryan needs to be the backup PG. He can't handle ACC 2G defensively. I can't see him added 20 pounds to his frame. He would be an good backup to Perry. Perry could move over to the 2G if Ramey was a real option.
Good to know. No reason to continue to harp on it.
Five stars
So do I. How does that make us clean? I was also reminded by a fellow poster today--this stuff doesn't stop at five stars...He's a 4-star and was committed here. He loves the city of Louisville and the campus.

I'm not at all sure they're doing their due diligence. I'm not sure that Mack and his assistants were clean at Xavier. Are they actually looking for "issues"? Aren't most of these FBI coaches supposedly in the dark about what is/was going on? You act like you're oblivious to the world around you....I'm sure they're doing their due diligence's on him. Don't see why you feel the need to worry about it. If they want him, I want him. If they don't find any issues, then there's nothing for me to conspire or raise an eyebrow at.
You want us to get 2-3* talent. You act like EVERY SINGLE 4-5* is "dirty." That isn't even remotely true. You know, there are some people who have integrity in this world and do the right thing.
You worry too much. This may all come out with loads of players connected, but I feel like it would have already. IF any guys had any answers to Nike players, it would've been Merl. Nothing else has come out about Nike, yet. I guess.
Tell the FBI about that "new era". They're ushering it in.#L1C4 is dead. It left when Pitino left.I hated it, it never made a damn bit of sense anyways. I'm glad it's gone because it sounded dumb as hell.
This is a new era Zippy boy. Put your big boy tighty whities on and get on the train for the ride... or, you can keep that thong on and stay at the train station big boy. Just don't sag too hard.
Tell the FBI about that "new era". They're ushering it in.
And tell U of L about L1C4. They're still using it in their marketing media.
Some of you guys are a little behind...
You want NBA talent? Travel down to lessington. You can have all the talent you want.Says the one who won't move on from Jurich.
And WHO CARES if they aren't L1C4. I want NBA talent on my team. I want players who are going to work extremely hard every single day to play at UofL and then if they want to move onto the NBA, go ahead. Idc if they move on after 1, 2, 3, or 4 years. I want the best talent that is going to give it their all at our University.
And like I said, not every single 4-5* is dirty. Not all are in the "muddy pond." I've yet to see your provide any insight on how "everyone is dirty." They simply aren't. Get over it. I bet you're glad that the one that came to this University was dirty just so you can prove your point, like you just tried to do then.
Oh so you don't want NBA talent? LOL.You want NBA talent? Travel down to lessington. You can have all the talent you want.
Hilarious. You want the player that doesn't exist, the NBA star who plays hard 82 games a year. And willing to do so for the PROMISE of money, not the actual commodity....WHO CARES if they aren't L1C4. I want NBA talent on my team. And of course you miss the whole point of this. Those guys were not NBA talent when they got here. They were developed. You want guys that seemingly don’t need development. Why? Can’t Mack do the same thing or are you afraid they have to be NBA ready like Cow’s players?Oh so you don't want NBA talent? LOL.
Soon to be Spalding, Mitchell, Rozier, Dieng, Harrell. Need I go on? I didn't say the TOP OF THE TOP. However, even teams like UVA have NBA talent. It's asinine to think otherwise. Maybe 1 of the Top 15 every now and then, but Top 40-60 and/or just 4-5* range. Like normal. I think Mack will recruit better than Pitino.

Yeah, you need a balance. Too many alpha dogs and things turn ugly. Get a couple of alpha dogs and some real nice quality role players and you've got a winning combo. Everything in moderation seems to be the key to happiness.Somebody please list the teams that won a title in the last 10 yrs without a single 5 star on the roster. I am curious to know how many there have been. I don't want an all 5 star team either. One gem is enough for me.

There are thirty Rivals 5-star kids annually. Assuming half of them stick around more than one year, that makes sixty in college basketball every year. And they tend to go to the better teams. Of course, there are 5-star kids in the Final Four and on the championship team.Somebody please list the teams that won a title in the last 10 yrs without a single 5 star on the roster...
But isn’t the goal to win championships? If the common denominator is highly talented players then why would we want to recruit anyone but players that can play at a high level. Get 1-2 5 star guys every other year and then fill the roster with the guys like Sutton and Perry who are grinders. There are thirty Rivals 5-star kids annually. That doesn't mean you have to actively recruit them to win a championship. For every one you find on the national champ, I can find one on a team that didn't sniff a championship...
Somebody that has time, please list the teams that won a title in the last 10 yrs without a single 5 star on the roster. I'm unsure if there were any.
Last 10 years (including 2008) Jennings, Samuels, Behanan, and King are the only rivals 5 star recruits for the Cards. That's 4 players in 10 years. Siva was a 4 star. We've had a ton of 4 star recruits over the past 10 years.Louisville? Can't remember if Siva was a 5 star, but he was highly regarded.
5 Stars can also turn out to be VJ King.
