same coaching mistakes as last year.

this is a young team that has very little experience and hasn't played together. now you want to stick them against the top teams and coaches?
Definitely could be a repeat of the disastrous Maui Tourney from this past season.

Ok to be fair this tournament participation was decided years ago and not just recently. Everything else still holds true though.

that is fair. if we decided a while back then it is not on the staff.

hopefully the staff will do scrimmages in the summer to prepare. the preseason is too short. and this conference is very early in the season against veteran teams.

It's been posted on the premium board that we are trying to get out of this. Probably would be a good idea. Could be Maui 2.0..

Right now it's hard to say what our final roster will look like until the Portal plays out. If what we have now is our final roster we're definitely in trouble for this early season tournament.

I agree! Have been promised last season was an outlier. Question the secrecy of the staff. Appears to not having a organized plan with many options, but again, been told all is coming together. I don't buy it.

After the all systems failure of last season, Payne has a whole lot to prove in year 2. Given that disaster, I totally understand any skepticism regarding anything this staff does including recruiting in the offseason.

Payne has done nothing so far to be given the benefit of the doubt in any aspect of the job. Until he puts together a full and complete team and proves he can win a lot more games then he will continue to face doubt by the fanbase. The only thing he has shown so far is that he can have one of the worst seasons in D1 history.
