Jerry Eaves this morning said multiple times that UofL will have a new head basketball coach. He said KP hasn't gotten the job done, but he's my guy and I'm not rolling over....whatever that means. He said when you're not competing at home on defense that's a problem. He said you have to give fans when playing at home close games, so they at least feel there is a chance to win and see some progress. That isn't happening when you're losing to ND by 22.
He then went on to say that the problems with the program started before KP and no one will ever say that after KP is fired. They won't talk about how Mack quit on his time, that Padgett knew about a recruiting violation.
Lastly, he called out Eric Crawford who went to the empty upper level of the Yum! Center and took photos. Eaves said that Crawford didn't mention that those upper-level ticket prices were lowered in 2017. Crawford also wrote about the negative impact to the downtown businesses. Eaves said....where was Eric in 2000 when Jurich and Pitino killed off the chances of getting an NBA team in Louisville?
