Syracuse basketball coach Jim Boeheim coached his final game with the school on Wednesday in the team’s 77-74 loss to Wake Forest in the opening round of the ACC Tournament. Syracuse announced Boehiem’s retirement and the promotion of Adrian Autry to head coach. Autry is a longtime assistant coach on Boehiem’s staff and played for the Orange.

Tony Bennett only very accomplished coach left in ACC. Hamilton and Larranaga have had some teams but not sustained high level success

Poor Syracuse fans it looks like they are going to go down the wrong road as well. All the old timers are almost gone now we get to watch the newcomers under achieve and get paid a lot of money for it.

The older group just isn’t willing or able to deal with this new environment. It does have a NBA feel. With transfers and NIL you need people dedicated to transfers and player evaluation.

You need an annual NIL budget and identify players that fits that budget.

Uh.. you might want to go ahead and say he got fired. I don't think Boeheim was ready to retire or he wanted to do it on his own terms, Syracuse thought otherwise. Sad that an institution treats someone who has basically devoted his own life to the school.

His original plan was to retire after his son graduated from school but he didn’t.
