Up 17-14, Pitt QB runs for a first down and slides down inbounds, essentially sealing the win with two more kneel downs. The line judge comes in and marks him short of the first down marker, claiming that he initiated his slide early. Pitt has to punt, and Wake Forest has time to score a TD to win the game with 7 seconds left.
Can’t believe that spot wasn’t reviewed and overturned, but then again I’m still salty at the Panthers for kicking our butts last week.
