Yeah, that's one thing I don't think U of L fans will really ever understand, the generational devotion and love for UK basketball for primarily 3/4 of the state...
According to Lloyd Gardner, who I totally trust, this kid's first choice was to come to Louisville, unfortunately KP wasn't interested and since Kin-sucky swooped in 10 seconds after he entered the portal, CPFK didn't have a chance at the kid..
He wouldn’t impact any other decisions so worth a take. Have to have enough bodies to scrimmage and games where foul trouble occurs. Screen, rebound and defend he could be productive in this system for short stints.
Yep that is exactly what is going on. I would back away. I can’t see paying that much, if true, for a big that came from Utah State. He didn’t play against legit bigs night in and out. He is a good player but not at the price being reported.
This is what I was talking about when asked to try and project next season; CJB and his staff are not done working the Portal. Perry is an example of a late decision, but one who can make a difference over the course of the season.
I don't follow HS that closely until district tournament time, but look to expand. Generally keep it to 8th, 9th and 10th Region. I look more toward old time skills (which I had none) like passing, shot mechanics (I had those) and moving w/o the ball than I do dunks n threes.
Malachi Moreno is a must get. Sorry to see Trent Noah wind up at UK. Thought he would have been a perfect fit for CPK.
