Yum! Center 2017-2018 Season Tickets

I just got the following email from UofL as I am a season ticket holder.

Last week the UofL Men's Basketball seat relocation took place opening brand new seating locations that are now available for current season ticket holders to add to their account. Is your family growing, friends asking you for more tickets, or business accounts wanting to join you at the biggest games of the season? If so, now is the time to add seats to your account.

So, I logged onto the website to see what tickets were available and I was surprised and not surprised to see the number of seats open in the upper arena.

I inputted each section in a spreadsheet to see how many seats were open:

Season ticket cost per seat for 2017-2018 = $1,031

So, lost upfront season ticket revenue = $2,702,251

If you assume the lower end seat donation, then lost upfront donation revenue = $718,350

So combined the total upfront lost revenue is = $3,420,601

The Yum! Center capacity is 22,090, so 13% of the arena seats as of today are unsold.

Where did you get your ticket information?

If you read the email UofL sent they were only offering the open seats to current season ticket holders.

I can tell you that the numbers above were as of 10:00am today.

You can go to Louisville Athletics and click on tickets. Then click on men's basketball tickets, and then click on buy season tickets. There are only a limited number left in a very limited number of sections.

That's because they have not released the open seats to the general public yet.
