The Louisville Cards WSOC squad fell in ACC Tournament Quarterfinal action last night in Cary, NC 4-1 to #3 seeded Virginia
The Cavs built a 2-0 lead in the firsst half until Emina Ekic provided a momentum changer by scoring in the 43rd minute of the first half off of a free kick.
That proved to be it, though, for Cardinals goals in the match. UVA added two more in the second half to win convincingly and move to Friday action vs. UNC.
My sources indicate to me that we've probably seen the end of Ekic's career at Louisville -- she'll most likely pursue a pro career and probably not participate in the spring WSOC sessions.
