When is the last time he hit a 3? Louisville looks better but it’s not because of King. Awful.

4-35 on the season from the 3-pt line. 11%!

Glad to see that he’s not letting those offensive struggles affect the rest of his game. He’s doing a great job on the boards when he is in there. Another 8 rebounds tonight.

He has such a size advantage over other guards, I like his post up ability lately and his driving to the hoop. (I know he needs to finish better, but still) It’ll get there, he’s just getting his groove back with confidence. Love his hustle and rebounding. 2 big blocks today as well. More to his game than offense, I mean I don’t see you bitching about Fore. His offense is atrocious, but his defense is there (sometimes) King has more athleticism and length.

No secret King struggles shooting, but man he is lightning fast to the bucket when he drives, if he gets some confidence built up watch out. Also his length for rebounding and defense should not be overlooked and brushed off like they mean nothing. Seriously, how is Fore any different?

Agree, everything looks great until the ball leaves his hands....that's gotta be a mental thing. I think we all can agree that VJ is a better than 11% shooter from 3....If the shots can start falling for the NCAAT that would be an amazing thing for how far this team can go.

Those talking about Kings shooting are on to something. VJ was a pretty good 3 point/spot up shooter his first 2 seasons. At least he certainly wasn't 11% bad. Gotta be a mental issue or his shot mechanics drastically changed.

I'm with those that want VJ to log some PT as long as he is playing solid defense and rebounding. If he is doing that it makes him a more versatile choice, with his length and athletic ability, than Fore at the same position at least in many situations.

I disagree. His defense and rebounding has been outstanding. He is playing his ass off. His offense is bad, but there's more to this game than just offense.
He hasn't seemed as tentative with the ball. The only time I've seen him hesitate is when he belatedly launches a three......and we all know the results. It destroys his rhythm on his shot.

Had a nice swat to close the half. Doing well on the glass the O game just not there. Hope he confuses the board and elects to return next year place could get boring without him!

His shot is broken which is confidence thing and maybe he changed his mechanics which only made it worse. He just doesn't miss it is a brick. He is never vertical on his jump shots always fading back or to the side. I can't believe no one has got that out of his system.

To me the game was always moving too fast for him which sped him up leading to him forcing shots or passes. Last night is the 1st game in a really long time he played with control on the offensive end. He took his time in the paint on one basket and then had a nice kick out another time.

Good game overall, but he needs to continue to build on it.

VJ looked good. We need him, he can take on an elite defender with his moves, just need that shot to fall. The big knock against Nwora is an elite defender can take him out of the game, he gets awkward, turns it over, forces up crazy shots. For these reasons I think Nwora comes back next year, the NBA is full of elite defenders.

To me, UNC is the best team in the country (as said on the broadcast, beat Gonzaga, beat Duke twice, 16-2 in conference with losses being an off-night against us and a loss at UVA - who is also arguable the best team in the country). I am encouraged by what I saw last night, game was more competitive than the score shows. If I'm a #1 or #2 seed and I see Louisville in my bracket as a 7/8, I'm thinking I hope they lose before they get to me.

I agree but I am hopeful we can avoid a 8 or 9 seed. I would rather the Cards get a 7 or 10 seed to stay on the opposite side of the bracket of the 1 seed.

With a good draw, this team could make the sweet 16, and that would be amazing for this bridge year.

I really hope we get a 7 rather than 8/9. I feel like if we get an 8/9 we’ll be out first weekend for sure, just don’t see this team beating any of the 1 seeds but I hope I’m wrong. Actually if we go over a 7 I’d take an 11/12 over 8/9. I just want to get to that second weekend just to keep interested, 8 or 9 will be a nail in the coffin for us.

Just in time too. We're going to need him to keep it up in the NCAA tourney.
Yeah but it doesn’t help if Nwora or Sutton’s game goes down. First it was Sutton and now Nwora. Not sure it’s a great trade off. I would insert King in place of Fore and see if that produces.

On another topic, I’m more convinced that Nwora is gone. The NBA is about offense and Nwora is probably more offensive ready than a lot of former U of L players that left early. He can get his shot off any time. He’s a volume shooter. I don’t think his stock would go higher by staying in college another year to work on defense, which he may not be willing to do. He can’t risk losing playing time to a younger player.

Nwora was shut down by an elite defender. Not a whole lot of those players in college ball.

Agree with you on all points.

I don't think I've ever bought a "Sweet Sixteen" shirt but if the Cards make it to the S16 this year I'll buy 2 - one to wear and one to save.

Unless it’s a perfect blend someone’s game is going to be affected. If it were early or midway in the season, the team could adjust. In reality, we are facing anywhere from 1-3 games left.

I just thought of something from the perspective of the higher seeds in a bracket where the Cards are 7/10/11/12.......their coaches & fans are PISSED. They're in a bracket with a 7/10/11/12 seed that beat Michigan State, beat UNC by 23, beat many other quality teams and was up on Duke by 23 (I'm still not over that one). Louisville may best the most overqualified 7/10/11/12 seed in NCAAT history if that scenario plays out.

I think the loss last night will play out in a bad way over the next few days, I am getting the feeling that we're going to get screwed and get a 8/9 however.

Funny, but I had similar thought after seeing Jerry Palm having the Cards as an 8th Seed in the West with Gonzaga as the 1 Seed. They get an extra two days to rest their legs and work on cleaning up details. We can play with the best, but can't get over the hump.....yet. Aside from UNC, UVA and Duke, their aren't that many teams whom I don't want to see in our regional.

Go CARDS!!!!!!!!!

Hard to argue that. I like this team in spite of the 13 losses. They seem to always play with a great deal of effort, and I personally enjoy that.

Next year should be better. :D

Unfortunately for me it seems that being a Cardinal fan, “wait till next year” seems to be a common theme. It always seems that someone decides to leave early that we think would put us at the top. When we finally did get there, they pulled the rug out from under us.

None of that matters to me. It's just sports and it's not life altering in any way. It's fun. It's entertainment. It's escape from every day chaos.

It has to matter some or else you wouldn’t be on this board so often like me or be a four star poster...

(13) is the number 13 losses, #13 jersey number. He will crash the boards in the NCAAT.
