I'm not talking specific candidates, but desired traits of the future president. Aside from leaving Jurich the hell alone and to let him continue to be the best AD in the country, I'd prefer a president who will improve UofL's academic reputation. I'm not sure how one goes about that, however. Increase admission standards, decrease drop out rate, hire the brightest professors, simply put, something needs to be done. US News, who is not the definitive authority on college rankings, but is the popular barometer for which a lot of people go by has UofL ranked 168th, tied with schools such as University of Idaho, UCF, Ball State, among others. UofL's ranking is actually on the decline. They stood at 160 just a few years ago. The trajectory Dr. Ramsey liked to preach in that regard never came to fruition.
