Here's one for you guys. Someone brought up the what if they invited us to a bowl with UK as our opponant? Even worse, what if they try to invite us to a bowl against App St. Do we decline?

Bottom line is that we go wherever we are fortunate enough to be selected. If it’s against UK in the Music City Bowl, some of our fans won’t like it, but we take it.

There are no ACC-Sun Belt Bowl matchups, so it is very unlikely that we would be matched up with App State. It could happen in the college football playoffs if we were ranked 1 and 4 or 2 and 3 (definitely not happening for either of us), or if App State and Louisville were both chosen for the Cotton Bowl. That could happen this year for App State, but UofL is not going to be ranked in the top 10, which is what it would take for UofL to be selected.

It appears likely that the SEC is not going to be able to fill all of its bowl slots, so it’s possible that App State could be chosen for a game that the SEC cannot fill. The Belk Bowl would be a likely destination. UofL could be chosen from the ACC as the opponent.

And if that’s what the Bowl committees decide, that’s where we go.

But seriously, I say we go were ever they send us.If we continue to put up points the way we have and if our defense continues to improve, also factor in the whole turn around story of being a door mat the year before I think make us very "attractive" to a bowl committee. If it's UK or a team from the big10 then we go spank that ass and set ourselves up for next year.

We go where the ACC tells us to go. Thats part of being in a conference.

The whole UofL/UK thing was started by some ESPN guy who didnt do his research[imagine that] or else he would have seen that we already play regular season and therefore it aint happening.

Win out and we have a decent chance of being ranked. If Clemson also wins out we could end up in the Orange Bowl as their replacement.
That's right but it's my understanding we'll have to be the highest ranked (sans Clemson) to get the Orange Bowl, and right now that would be Wake Forrest even though the Cards beat them head to head.

If we win out we “may” very well be ranked ahead of them.

Their schedule was weaker than our when we played them.

johnny, what can you make of this?

i can make a bird, a plane, a pterodactyl....

otherwise, the opponent never matters

The last time I can remember teams turning down a Bowl bid was that year Clemson and South Carolina had that brawl and both said they'd turn down bids. I can't imagine turning down a Bowl due to the opponent.

I'd be surprised to see a Bowl select UofL and UK, but if any Bowl might it's the Music City Bowl. They know they'd get a pretty decent turnout of fans. I still don't think they'd do it. Not only did the teams play already, they JUST played. It's much better to have 2 teams that never play each other or haven't in a long time.

I hope we play in the Music City Bowl because I would most likely go to that, the rest of the bowls don't interest me travel wise. As far as the opponent, I think Appy would be pretty cool but not likely at all, per all the reasons pushup gave, wouldn't like back to back games against the slapdicks though..

Dont care where we go. Giving this staff and team an additional 5 weeks together will be HUGE for 2020.
If we can't go to the Orange Bowl, I'd love to go to the Belk Bowl. Yep, I know it's cold in Charlotte but imagine the press we'd get in the state that turned down CSS. A homecoming for him and his family and a prime recruiting area as well. Just saying.
