I haven't been able to watch the olympics today. What happened to Wesley Korir today - he did not finish the race?

Bizarre story. Korir was actually leading the race at the halfway point. Somehow he and his fellow teammate were handed each other's drink, which is especially made for them. Both runners suffered stomach cramps and weren't able to finish the race????
Wow, hate that for him. Seen various stories and interviews with him through the years. Very unfortunate, hope he gives it another go in 4 years!
He was actually still in the lead between the 18th and 19th mile.
You learn early to never switch from say "Accelerade" to "Gatorade" during a race as it can really mess up your stomach and digestive system.
The individual who was responsible for handing out the fluids to Wesley and his Kenyon teammate simply switched them.
Bad for both runners. Wesley was really looking good and the announcers even said that as he passed the 18 mile marker.
