We still beat ourselves.

Why not summarize all of these pearls of wisdom into one post for the ages.

Yeah he should have grabbed his jersey like wayne turner did the stanford player in 98'

get lost clown

One call or no call at the end of the game is no different than same anywhere else in the game. People get fixated on final plays. All the plays matter. All count equally.

Wow, who knew how quickly this would come in handy. Anyone that didn't think we would be playing close games right out of the box doesn't understand basketball, or hasn't paid attention this year. As they say a win's a win.

And Rozier made a great CLEAN play. Even when he doesn't shoot well he finds ways to contribute.

And I LOVE how Wayne is playing. Takes me back to 2005 and Larry O'Bannon stepping up in the tournament. Wayne made some HUGE plays down the stretch, just what you would expect from a senior, especially taking right at their big man to tie the score. I love the confidence he is playing with right now, and we need every bit of it. Great game by the Cards. On to Northern Iowa.

They could have called a foul. Rick was instructing them to foul as we had one to give. They would have gotten the ball at mid court with three seconds or so left. Still not a high percentage situation but they could have at least had a chance. That non-call did not affect the game and was a tiny bit of payback for not calling some maulings that the 7'6" freak was getting away with.

I agree. Rozier fouled the Cal guy and knocked him down. Rick had given the signal to foul. Cal Irvine probably would not have won anyway but they should have at least been given a chance to inbound near mid court with 3 or 4 seconds left. The refs all just swallowed their whistles.

And it would have been one more in a long line of bad calls made all day. Terry's intention was never to commit the foul, but to do exactly what he did, which was to get the turnover, knowing that he could be aggressive and not hurt the team. It worked out perfectly, and the officials made the correct non-call. It was nice that they finally got one right. And kudos to Terry on a great play.

That is why it's not a big deal that a foul wasn't called. We still had one to give and that's why TR did what he did regardless. The blue troll crying about the "no call" obviously didn't know that or just doesn't understand the strategy involved in game time situations.

Either way, the Cards won and the troll is unhappy. All is well in the world.

It didn't look like a foul to me, just good aggressive defense. That what you want in that situation, go for the ball and see what happens. GO CARDS!!

From one angle it looked clean, from another it looked liked minor contact. Personally, I like the no call. Could they have blown the whistle? Sure. Borderline plays go either way... but call or no call, I don't think it had any impact on the outcome.

IMO, UCI lost it when they launched that 3. They didn't need 3, why take it? Go in, go big... or go home... and home they go.

Scrappy win for the Cards... not pretty, but a Win is a Win... survive and advance!

As mentioned, it would have been a NON SHOOTING foul anyway. They weren't in the bonus yet.

It WOULD have stopped the clock and let them set up for an inbounds play, but they were down to almost zero time.

Go bloviate elsewhere.

Are you some kind of communist or something?

Sure don't have the make up of a Cardinal fan......cat fan in disguise? So, go back to CI or CP or wherever the rock is that you climbed out from under.....just go away!
