Wayne has been bitten from the start by the injury bug. And his career never truly was bale to take off. But fans need to realize Wayne represents the end of the 2nd best run. We have had since the 80's. This kid is a winner and really consistent player this season, think how it would be without him. Great career Wayne !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed. He has represented the university with dignity and class. Hope he gets the send-off he deserves.

I think his rebounding is greatly under appreciated. He goes up against some big bodies and wins as often as not.

Hear hear.

We probably won't fully appreciate what Wayne has done for the Cards until he is gone. He will take his place in history as being a solid component of some very special Cardinal basketball teams.

Agree. Wayne has been a great representative for UofL both on and off the court. He is a solid part of some great teams and did very well in the classroom too.

Agree with all the above. He is a class act. I hope hits about 8 threes today. His hustle plays will certainly be missed. He also excelled in the class room. Good luck to him in the future.

20-2 in the postseason so far in his 3 years with FF and NC and numerous conference championships. The most unfairly hated on player in the history of UL basketball? He has solid numbers on a team that had 3 big time scorers and little help. You rarely ever see Wayne get burned badly on defense. He is solid there. Averages 12 points and 5 boards a game.

He thanked the fans at the arena today for staying behind him.

Either he was talking about us arena folks specifically, or he doesn't read every message board thread about him.

Regardless, he's a class act, a great student, and a good basketball player...
