In consecutive years traditional SEC powerhouses in their respective sports have been rumored to be pursuing UofL coaches. Yet both have continued in their roles at UofL. Glad to continue the progress of UofL women’s basketball and men’s baseball.

LOL...luv me some Jeff Walz if that's your definition of "ruin".Walz staying ruined the “zipp” summer b**** tour.

And I esp. enjoyed the "we have a contract" recruiting pitch that his boss kept articulating. Words I'm sure to make Walz feel loved by "Vince" as well.
I gave your AD credit for retaining McDonnell--even though I was told he wasn't going anywhere. We faced a genuine threat with Mississippi State openly recruiting him.
The Tennessee threat was in the media and among talking heads evidently. If you spotted Phil Fulmer's plane in Clarksville, IN, let me know.
Can't wait for the next Jeff Walz Show at Chili's next Fall. That guy's worth the price of admission...
I'm not against anyone at U of L succeeding--and for sure not the institution--as long as it happens for the right reasons.Zipp , maybe give it rest. I’m with you, I thought the world of our previous AD and coach. Like you, I’m not sold on our new yeekay/Bevin appointee. However, you seem like you want UofL to fail. We’re all Cardinal fans! Let’s celebrate the good, and put the past behind us! Remember, it’s us against the world. I admire you for fighting the good fight, but can’t we look to the future?
Go Cards!

There is only one bigger Jurich fan than myself. I know this because of a certain someone that has his head planted firmly up TJ’s - - -.Zipp , maybe give it rest. You're not connecting dots again. No one knew where this was headed, whether Tennessee's overtures were going to be real and out in the open. They were not.You were jumping for joy earlier that Walz was going to leave and Tyra lost another coach. Now the the threat wasn't real cause Walz is staying. That is some serious mental gymnastics.
They make an 'ignore' button on this forum. Try it.There is only one bigger Jurich fan than myself. I know this because of a certain someone that has his head planted firmly up TJ’s - - -.
However, I am now willing to open my eyes and admit many of the faults and mistakes that TJ had during his tenure. I’ve moved on, I’m a Cardinal first. I even think it’s fine to criticize our current AD, coaches, etc., just not everyday. A certain someone can’t do that, won’t do that. Had he been a follower of Jim Jones he’d have been first in line for the kool-aid.
This certain dude who shall remain unnamed (rhymes with “trip”) I liken to many loyal church goers. They jump churches to follow a preacher or priest, not the Lord.

"Vince" gets no credit from me for fighting off fake threats. In fact, it's an indictment of his management that a coach like Walz is in play. Funny how that didn't happen in his first ten years as basketball coach.
And WTH kinda encouragement is "we have a contract"? That's a joke.
I don't predict most things I get credit for. I simply tell you what I'm observing and how that's gonna be viewed, as I did this time...
I'm not addressing everyone in this space with every one of my posts. If you're looking at "Vince" objectively, you have no arguments with me.Damn Im glad we have you to point these things out. I’m not sure any of us are capable of doing that on our own. As far as we know Vince didn’t have to do anything, which by the way is what TJ would have done. So this was a big ole nothing. I’m not going to critique Vince on every word he says. Vince has done plenty of good, but he’s had miss steps too just like any AD or human. As I’ve said many times Ole Man Grissom is the pink elephant in the room. Until he’s gone I will have concerns. But Vince isn’t one of them.,
No you are connecting your own dots. You said the TN overtures weren't in play, I can buy this was a social media created story. However, if that is true then TN was never in play, therefore Coach Walz was never in play. The last I checked there hasn't been a TN, UConn, Or Baylor job open up the last 10 years. Why would his name come up? It is obvious his name was tied to only the TN rumors which you said were just that rumors. I am confused how this is an indictment of his management. You're not connecting dots again. No one knew where this was headed, whether Tennessee's overtures were going to be real and out in the open. They were not.

We have too many Kool Aid slurpers--like the OP--willing to assign ANY news as good news for "Vince". Those are the posters in my crosshairs...

I don't recall Jeff saying he wasn't interested in the Tennessee job until the last day or two. Maybe you can find me a quote otherwise. He kept himself in play......if that is true then TN was never in play, therefore Coach Walz was never in play...
You're a new regime apologist, and you're always been one. "If Tyra or Mack deserve criticism" is a perfect example. Even I have criticized the former regime...You’ve been nothing but anti-Tyra and anti-Mack since day 1. My goal has been to rebut your one-sided agenda driven narrative. It has been yeoman’s work but fortunately most on here have seen your silly agenda. If Tyra or Mack deserve criticism then I’ll give it out. However I’ll also let them do their jobs understanding the boulders they faced walking into the job. Your tacit refusal to admit that there were these huge obstacles isn’t because you are dumb, it’s because you obviously have some personal animus towards Mack and Tyra.
Maybe it's because in less than two years, EIGHT of his coaches--or about 40%--are either no longer in their jobs or at risk of leaving. Simple math. And that's the coaches we know about...If Tenn wasn't really after him why have you spent the last couple of weeks complaining about how Tyra can't keep coaches and his best coach Walz was going to leave?
Actually, I could have said Walz makes 8 since McDonnell was in play previously as well. It's getting hard for even me to keep track...Perhaps then you should just delete your post “Walz makes 7....”. If it was a “fake threat” then Walz wasn’t “in-play”.

Nothing has changed. "Would" and "if" don't equate to "will" and "when".Wow Zipp, talk about changing the narrative on your own posts…
This discussion started because you posted (prematurely) that Walz’s departure would make the 7th coaching change since Tyra took over. He didn’t leave, so the total is 6. Now you claim that since both he and McDonell were apparently “in play” at some time, that the real number is 8. You didn’t just change the goalpost, you’re trying to change the game.
Ask the people who asked him that question. He evidently wasn't with Tennessee, maybe because "Vince" scared them off with his compelling statements...So Walz was “in-play”?

Are you saying don't pay attention to non-denial denials? Where were you the last couple of weeks giving us that advice??Maybe you can find me a quote where he said he was interested.
Again, where were you with this sage "don't worry what Jeff says" advice the last week or so? I must have missed it.You can read between the lines all day long, but at in of the day it is only your opinion. Your opinion was formed by a rumor that fit your agenda.
I used kool-aid first then he used kool-aid. Interesting. Ole “tripp”, be tripping!!!I'm not addressing everyone in this space with every one of my posts. If you're looking at "Vince" objectively, you have no arguments with me.
