RICHMOND - Eastern Kentucky University football player Colton Scurry threw the first punch during a Jan. 25 bar fight with three University of Kentucky football players, according to an investigative report released Tuesday by Richmond police.
A bar video "made it apparent ... that Mr. Scurry was the primary aggressor in the altercation," the police report says. "He entered into a crowd willingly (without any physical altercation) and threw a punch at an unidentified male."
A Madison County grand jury last week declined to indict Scurry or the UK players - quarterback Drew Barker, wide receiver Dorian Baker and defensive tackle Tymere Dubose - who were involved in the fight at Jerzee's Cocktail Lounge & Dance Club. Scurry, 20, an EKU offensive lineman, suffered a broken nose and facial fractures.
