USC vs UConn ugly

I am watching the USC vs UConn game and it is really ugly the 1st half 24-24. The 1st quarter score was 14-10 I guess we aren’t the only top team that struggles on offense now and then.

Ugly or just great defense?

UConn only had one scoring threat and that was Paige Bueckers and USC only had one scoring threat and that was Boston. Both teams only made one 3 pointer each together they only hit 2 out of 32 attempts. Both teams had over 18 turnovers apiece it was not great defense.

Man, what I saw was the refs let Boston plow through people. If refs let bigs do that then the defense has no repsonse. Bueckers is Very good; so smooth.

Bueckers is good, but she has the green light to fire at will. That was an ugly game. I think we can play with either of those teams. South Carolina is physical, so I’m not sure how well we would hold up against them.

Definitely the top two teams in the country played last night. What separates them from us is their defense. Every shot, and every pass, was contested and the announcers who have covered our games as well said it repeatedly. It was an all around ugly game played by two teams that have what we lack outside of Olivia, Bigger and taller/stronger looking athletes.

UConn only has one big and she stayed mainly at the high post the whole game. Both teams had a lot of uncontested turnovers. Our biggest problem is our 3 point defense and our bigs have trouble catching the ball in traffic. Our bigs also need to Learn when the defense collapses on you kick the ball out to the open shooters.

So Carolina lost that game because they couldn't stop or contain a scrawny freshman - Paige Bueckers. I can't stand the way the announcers always slobber over UConn.
