Also WF was at home vs FSU so it’s not a exact comparison to our game vs FSU. Unfortunately we’re playing WF at home a tough task this year. If we play like the first half for the entire game will give them a game. We play like the second half for any length of time it will be a long day.Wake is fundamentally solid, as is BC. The final score may not indicate this observation, but the Eagles offensive line dominated Missouri for all 4 quarters. The one weakness that BC has, questionable secondary, played right into the one strength of Missouri ….. explosive deep passing routes.
WF‘s lopsided win over FSU is a little misleading; the 6 FSU turnovers had a huge impact in that game. One FSU fumble in the end zone in the early portion of the game was an example of just how damaging those mistakes cost the Seminoles. 3 INTs and 3 loss fumbles by FSU make it impossible to make a responsible comparison of the two teams.
2-0 in the ACC is 2-0 in the ACC. That's 2 wins over Power 5 teams. And they've cruised to those wins. They pass the eye test forsure.I agree but I think this one is tricky.
WF is 4-0 with wins over teams with a combined 5-11 record.
a 1-3 Old Dominion ( win over Hampton)
a 2-2 Norfolk St (W’s Elizabeth City State? & St Francis)
a 0-4 FSU and got 6 TOs
a 2-2 UVA who beat William & Mary and a 1 win Illinois
Our opponents are 8-7 with one loss to #12 and a win over what was #28(?)
They haven’t played near our SOS but have looked good against who they have played.
We need to hit them early and knock some confidence out of them.
Make them realize they haven’t played anybody with our talent.
They may beat us senseless, but nothing says they’re that much better than last year when we rolled them, and we are improving every game.
Like I said it’s a tricky call, but if we play UCF/1st half FSU ball we win.
Wouldn't it be fair to say that WF caused those turnovers?Wake is fundamentally solid, as is BC. The final score may not indicate this observation, but the Eagles offensive line dominated Missouri for all 4 quarters. The one weakness that BC has, questionable secondary, played right into the one strength of Missouri ….. explosive deep passing routes.

Yes, the pass the eye test. But they're standing pretty close to the chart.2-0 in the ACC is 2-0 in the ACC. That's 2 wins over Power 5 teams. And they've cruised to those wins. They pass the eye test forsure.
My thought is just that we're running down a UVA program that has been very solid and always gives us trouble. Not easy to beat them like WF did, I have high respect for what Bronco has going at UVA.Yes, the pass the eye test. But they're standing pretty close to the chart.
Yes they've beaten 2 P5 schools. I have some time to kill, so...
According to Sagarin, UVA has 13 G5 schools ranked higher and their only P5 win was Illinois who has 38 G5's ahead of them.
FSU has 26 G5's ranked higher now.
Our SOS ranking through four games (according to the attached link) is #41
WF SOS so far is # 113
Ironically, their future SOS starting with us is #41 and we're #35. So our schedule gets some tougher while theirs gets a bunch tougher.
I know none of us know anything and we're just arguing football, and if they beat us, I'll give them and you credit. But if we play the way we've been playing, and don't get complacent, we win.
If they win, I'll tip my hat and say good luck.
