UofL vs UC

Nope I don’t want to play Cincy because they don’t add anything to our schedule. Also, they go head to head with us in recruiting the talent rich southwest Ohio area. I think it’s stupid.

I would agree with this if we were talking football, but I think basketball is a different story. UC would almost always be a Quad 1 game so it adds value. And as far as recruiting goes, I’d like to think we are have nationwide recruitment focus.

How often do we lose recruits to Cincy?

Well who actually knows. They recruit well in the Cincy area and then they come here to compete with us almost as well as uahkay does. I do hot want to give them a platform to elevate their recruiting against us. Plus when they play us here they just don’t bring enough people and they are only 100 miles away.

You're overthinking this. It's a game that people would want to see. Unless UC goes on some UK-esque 10-0 run against us, I don't see how recruiting would be negatively affected. if anything, we'd get more nationally televised games and it would help recruiting. It would certainly help the NET rating for the NCAAT.....Furthemore, watching games against UC, IU, WKU, Memphis, any Old School Big East team, would be a whole lot more exciting than watching those poorly-attended December games versus the likes of Western Iowa Northwestern Business College of Southeastern Iowa State Eastern-East.

I was against this game before it was scheduled... Still bitter about how Cincinnati abandoned us in the Metro. But now that it's on the books so be it. Mack is the guy who has to deal with any recruiting edge he's given to Cincinnati from this... If he's fine with it how can I complain? At least it's an easy trip for our fans. I would have preferred DePaul, I know our fans enjoyed that Chicago trip.

Glad to see someone else holding a grudge as long as I do. Personally, it makes beating them all the much sweeter.

Playing this game makes perfect sense to me. Short bus ride against a quality opponent which we have a history of playing. I'm really happy to see this rivalry renewed.

Go CARDS!!!
