Um, I keep reading about the Pitt game but......

The Cards play a big game on Friday against Ga. Tech. Cardinal Couple says the Cards "swept" that match, winning in 3 sets. That is true but I think that saying the Card "swept" in this particular meeting may be a little bit pompous (apologies to Sonja in advance). That second set was the longest set I have ever seen and certainly one nerve-wracking display of volleyball. I think that Ga. Tech's win AT Pitt was no fluke. The Cards need to put on their best brand of play Friday or the number one ranking will be up for grabs again. The Pitt game is not until the 24th and there is a Notre Dame game in between AT South Bend where green magic is sometimes on display.

I used pompous in the gentlest possible way. I have met Paulie (who may or may not remember me) and if the others are like him you are absolutely right. They are are all good people.
