IMO the key to the game is contain Bowden on the ground. Tennessee did and that's how they won.

Kentucky struggles when they get behind the chains which is very rare. They are never flagged for holding and are very disciplined as for false starts.

Being a Card fan, the best scenario would be to get up by 10 or more early and force them to throw the ball.

As for most rivalry games, the team that has no turnovers and converts their kicking opportunities has a great chance of winning.

The Cards need to play penalty free football and a sack or two would be great. Not holding my breath for either to happen.

They don't score many points per game because they can't throw the ball with Bowden in the game and that is who they have decided to live or die with at QB.

They cannot get into a track meet with us because they know we will tear that azz up if they do. I agree with other posters, we need to jump on them fast and punch them in the mouth early, if we do, I think they fold up and phone it in.

First one to 30 wins.

Never flagged doesnt mean they arent holding.
We all know they are.

The big difference was the size and strength of the Vols front 4. Their LBs were able to clean up the running game once those BIGS were able to neutralize UK’s OL.

This is where our undersized 3-4 defense becomes vulnerable. UK's offensive line is big, physical and talented. I'm assuming we utilize the same strategy we used against BC. The difference is that we will be on the road, and those holding calls will not get called on Kroger Field. We have to score often and early to prevent those long grueling drives. This is going to be an interesting game.

Their defense looks good but this is skewed because they have beaten NO ONE!!! They also haven’t played any team I can think of with an offense that has big play capabilities. Georgia is probably the best offense they faced and that was in a hurricane so Georgia tossed out a great deal of their playbook. Their advantage may be on offense. Not that they’re a talented offensive team, but their scheme keeps their offense on the field and chews up the clock and could wear out our defense. I expect this to be an excruciating game to watch. I would feel much better about this game if our defense was stouter.

SuCkS advantage is they hold on to the ball.

Like crappy d1 schools who just dribble away 22 seconds of the 30 second shot clock.

Gotta keep the defense off of the field. Don't let them sustain long drives. If they do the game is over. The offense will need some big plays. Need to keep them from driving and getting pinned deep. They have the best punter in the country. Gotta get lucky on a few plays because the defense tackles well and they are disciplined.

I have full confidence that CSS can VASTLY outcoach porky. I think we can move the ball on anyone (not Clemson).

Let’s see how we look against Cuse first before we start declaring that this and this will happen forsure.

The one thing I’ll give them credit for is their strategy and development of players. Stoops and Gran usually don’t make the best decisions when there’s pressure in the game, but if they can get their game plan established they can do very well.

I don’t think they’ve seen a team utilize speed the way we do, but they’ve seen some fast players for sure. Tennessee with Jennings and Calloway are some big play wideouts and Tennessee is an all or nothing type of team. They also have a lot of fast and athletic players on their defense as well, this isn’t a Matt Elam defense anymore.

Our offense can make the big play, but we need a lot of chances to do it. Kentucky holds the ball when they get it, and the guy above talking about how that’s some cheap strategy, it isn’t. If they aren’t being stopped, why give the ball back? That’s the type of clock control Scott will have once he gets cooking with his own guys.

Kentucky is averaging almost 38 minutes a game in TOP the last 3 games against Missouri, Tennessee, and awful Vanderbilt. 2 teams around our level and one bad power 5 program. We have to score when we have our chance. Stoops will play that bend don’t break against us, he won’t let Tutu or PSHawkins beat him over the top. So we have to capitalize when we have our chances.

If we score 10-14 points early, we could cruise to a win. We get locked into a 7-3 type battle early and they’re moving the chains on our D, I won’t like that type of game.

stop the run, stop the run and stop the run. That's the top 3 things on the agenda to win the game.

I’m just gonna be straight up with you now. You don’t do anything but harass me on here and I haven’t done anything but argue sports. @PHCARD i don’t believe I’ve don’t anything to warrant him just attacking me. He’s done it in other threads as well.

All you do is belittle me because I had the nerve to disagree with your opinion about strength of conference.

Instead of actually debating me, you just insult me and try and do it in other threads. I understand some people are incapable of having discussions because they are limited, and if that’s you I am sorry. But instead of being a child and calling names, try and actually have a discussions beyond insults and saying “I’m right because I’m right and that’s all you need to know”.

I’m no longer going to respond to you because I was taught that bullies just want attention and to cause other people pain because of issues in their own lives. I’m not longer going to give you the attention you crave.

Not about attention.
This a public message board.

You have a right to your opinion.
This is a place where conversation and debate happen.

Youve praised Louisville's arch rival beyond measure. You slobber over the SEC.

Been on this board since 2001.
Any Cards fan slobbering over SuCkS will get called out.

You cant handle it, put me on ignore.

You’re on ignore. As of this post pal!

If using logic, statistics, and non-biased judgement makes me a bad fan instead of irrational hate and obsession with another school, then I guess I’m fickle!

I will only converse with people who behave like adults and have manners. I don’t attach my fandom to hate of another school, rather love of my Cardinals. I’d advise you to do the same.

I won’t be able to see your posts, so don’t quote me when you know I can’t respond. Have a good life and try to find some happiness.
