Mens & Womens BB too include maybe womens Lacrosse move earmarked for 2022 . Marnardi hall repurposed for student housing.

Tyra states b acked and driven by donor intent . Say pretty good for a clown AD during these hard times

Heard he also announced another multimillion dollar deficit last week. I'm waiting for actual numbers to update my charts.

EDIT: You can read in Eric Crawford's article that the revenue shortfall will be $37 million or about 40%. And revenue this year had already been projected down around 10%. That's 50% if you're keeping track of the overall decline...yikes!

You’re just going to ignore the impact Covid-19 has had? And, UofL, as you know, isn’t alone with revenue shortfalls. It’s nationwide.

I don’t often side with zipp, this may be a first actually but I have to agree. We’re facing huge budget deficits ( I know COVID plays into it) the timing and optics at the very least seem wrong here. Didn’t we just lay off a bunch of athletic personnel?

Go read the presser this was in the works before covid per Vince Marnardi wasn't a feasible option to upgrade he also stated along with a little comment that the Rick supporters i'm sure not liking. He talked about the deficit and stated they were in a much better position than most . However this project has nothing to do with U of L finances strictly a donor thing.

We were bleeding money--and fans--well before Covid. If I was "Vince", I'd certainly be trying to use Covid as the excuse for three years of dismal financial results.

But all of that is water under the bridge. His job is to get a wrecked train back on the tracks, and I don't think he has a clue how to do that. Just bold talk and confidence.

By the way, if the story wasn't so bad, it would easy to get your hands on U of L financial results. Instead, open records requests are stonewalled by U of L at every turn. I know because it happens to me regularly--and if you want hard evidence of that, let me know. So much for "better transparency"...
