#4 Louisville Field Hockey and #2 Louisville Volleyball go into Friday action with tough contests facing them.
Field Hockey is in Chapel Hill to face the #10 UNC squad. It's a TarHeel team that has stumbled a bit this season -- with a 9-5 record overall and 3-1 ACC mark. They are 4-1 at home, however. A puzzling 4-0 loss to Liberty in Chapel Hill two back before getting a 1-0 win at Wake Forest. They do have NCAA D1 Field Hockey's leading scorer in Erin Matson -- who has 18 goals on the season.
The Cards come into the match 13-2 and winners last time out at Northeastern 7-0.
A 4 p.m. start for this one and RSN - Bally Sports is listed as the broadcast provider. I'm grateful for the coverage but not the biggest fan of Bally Sports.
A few hours later, Louisville Volleyball will put their #2 ranking and 18-0, 8-0 record on the line when they bring UVA to the LNFCU. It's a rebuilding season for UVA Volleyball and first-year head coach Shannon Wells. The Cavaliers are 8-10 overall and 1-7 in the ACC.
One hopes the VolleyCards can produce a strong effort and sweep of the Friday visitors. #4 Pittsburgh comes to town Sunday.
