The University of Cincinnati is launching a review of allegations related to its men’s basketball program, the school announced Friday.

Cincinnati Bearcats coach John Brannen came under fire last week after six players entered the transfer portal in the span of a few days, including four members of the 2020 freshman class.

...the mass roster exodus stemmed from a rift between Brannen and multiple players that had been brewing over the course of the 2020-21 season. Sources described an untenable culture within the program caused by feelings of manipulation and exclusion and a lack of trust with Brannen. The Athletic also reported that strength coach Tyler Stuart resigned after one season with the program due to a similar rift with Brannen.

Those kids had to deal with Cronin. If this guy is worse than Cronin, then there may be some major issues.

I think Cards are scheduled to play at UC next season. Right now I don’t think they have 5 scholarship players.

Hope Brannen survives. He did a good job at NKU. Inmates "running the asylum " will ruin the college game and it's the media thats fueling it.

Coaches and players jumping ship. Its more likely that its Brennan thats the problem vs everybody else just being soft. Cronin wasnt exactly soft and cuddly so its not like they were being coddled before.

Next year, Year 3 of Brannen, I believe UC has 4 scholarship players returning and no recruiting class coming in. If that were here, we'd FARRRR that sonofabeyitch, regardless of fit, coddling that did or didn't happen, or circumstances.

To add insult to injury, UC fans turn on TV and see Cronin out in LA, rocking like an 80's hairband on the Sunset Strip (ironically while having no hair), on his way to the Final Four with UCLA. That has got to be infuriating.

Wow sounds like a cluster over at UC. If that keeps up, then Brannen would be on the way out one would think.
