Trey Lewis makes it official!

I know everybody wants Maverick, but I think I owuld much rather have Damion Lee for the year. What a backcourt we would have with snider, lewis, and Lee. How good we will be, in my opinion will be determined by how much stronger the #egyptianenergizer gets!!! we really need him, hes the most talented big man we have.

Now we need somebody to replace Shaqquan Aaron. Oh wait...never mind.

Just playing with ya, Chaz.

They need shooters, Lewis is a shooter. Good fit!

The bottom line while you have to be good defensively you don't have to be great if you have good shooters at the 1, 2, 3, and 4 spot.

I think it will be interesting to see which way they go. The Maverick kid is no guarantee at this point. Do you wait to see what happens with his re-class and its uncertainty or take 5th year guy that is a proven college shooter?

IMO they need another proven shooter. They have no proven shooters outside of Q. Aaron isn't a shooter he maybe a scorer but he isn't a shooter. Mitchell isn't know as a shooter. Adel looks like he will be a good shooter. I think it is a huge gamble to go into next season with one quality shooter in Lewis.

Watching Kaminski, I just kept thinking of Mahmoud in a year of two. And to a lesser degree, maybe Stockman.

I think the Anas has very good skills, and we know CRP will both of them stronger.

Will the backcourt next year be better than the backcourt this year prior to Jones' exit?

I think it might be. Lewis is a perfect fit. Very good 3 point shooter and very good defensively. Snider should continue to improve and you know he will continue to work his butt off in the off season. And I think Donovan Mitchell is going to be that big energy guy...kind of like a more athletically gifted sophomore Preston Knowles. The press with Mitchell and Lewis should be excellent.

Eeaahaaa ! We got a one year player from a mid-major. Seriously, he will hopefully fill a glaring need.

This is a good pick up for UofL. We need some outside shooting and hopefully Lewis will provide that.

So, who plays point guard, Lewis or Quentin?
Gotta think Q gets the start. Now either Pitino is planning on splitting time between Q and Lewis at PG, or he might have Lewis starting as the SG. Pitino made some kind of comment about starting 2 PG's and that being how the Cards have played the last four years. He also said it makes sense with their running and pressure style.

I think Lewis, from what I've seen, is closer in talent to Rozier but with a better shot, than he is to Jones. Yes, I think by mid-season our backcourt will be better, and more importantly more effective, than the one we had this year prior to Jones leaving.

Both. We've been playing a 2 point guard type offense for years now. It'll continue at least 1 more year with the addition of Lewis.

Snider
Lewis
Aaron
Johnson
Mangok
Adel
Mitchell
Onuaku
Anas
Spalding

IMO that will be the 10 players who will play the most next year assuming the class if filled. Not completely sold on McMahon just yet. He might play more than I expect.
