Is he still on the team? I feel like he isn’t but who knows with him. His IG bio just says “RB, C YA” could mean nothing but his lack of playing will probably Lead to this anyway,

C Ya could just mean “See ya!” Meaning that’s what he tells defenders when he leaves them in the dust.

Substitutions mess with tempo and allows the defense to make a substitution. Not saying that’s our reasoning but I don’t like it.
What a meant was if we can put a 6-7 min drive with the starter, then next drive to keep him fresh we can go with whoever the #2 is and if you can sustain another drive you got 2 guys wearing down the D. Then maybe at a later point in the game you can even work in a 3rd RB to hammer away at them, again if you can sustain a drive with #3 you got them all contributing.

But since we haven't really sustained many drives that I can remember anyway, we can't put that plan in motion.

Agree with the subs but also if there is an injury delay, or measurement, or time-out we could rotate a little there. But if we're 3 and out can't do anything.

This tradition of playing “cupcakes” at home has ended, resulting in the loss of opportunity for the coaches to play multiple levels of the depth chart.

I think this staff had more confidence in our OL and running game than what has evolved thus far; very basic sets that rely on the OL opening the lanes for Evans at the LOS have largely been closed.

For all those throwing up terms like sustained drives and tempo what running back you use has nothing to do with that. I very seldom saw Louisville not substitute #1 and #2 I saw the starting running back raise his hand for a breather more than once. No reason Cooley couldn’t get a couple of runs a game.

UL has used 3 backs in each of the first 2 games. Evans is clearly the lead back carrying the ball 13 times in game 1 and 19 in game 2

Jordan had 4 carries in game 1 and 3 in game 2

Mitchell had 1 carry in game 1 and 3 in game 2. He was injured in the second half and did not return.

As another Poster mentioned above SS indicated Mitchell is doubtful for FSU and Cooley would probably get some playing time.

Personally, I think a 3 man rotation is too many unless you're running the ball 30 or 40 times a game which we are not. Pick your top 2 and stick with them.

I like Evans as the starter but I would like to see a speeder back in there some that might break a long run easier.
I think that's why Jordan has been getting some carries. He is their fastest back. Cooley is supposed to be the best at catching passes out of the backfield.

News about Lole being out for the season is one of those injuries that we could least afford. This was the one transfer on the defensive side who was expected to have the most impact.
