Thoughts on him for the rest of the season?

I like him as a spark plug if he uses his driving to create for others more. Especially when nothing's working on offense for multiple possessions and you just need someone to use up possessions while being somewhat efficient. I doubt he was used to getting shots blocked all the time in the Ivy League, so I bet he'll adjust with the extended minutes he's getting until Q is back.

As just a fan, I now can understand what Damion Lee and Coach P saw in him. Not bad for an Ivy League player!

I think the next couple of weeks his role figures to be a large one.

Overall you have to say he played a decent ball game yesterday. I think he should have looked to pass or take the pull up J, or just kept his dribble instead of taking all the challenged lay-ups.

That said he won't face a team with that kind of size again for a long time.

For his first real extended try, he was fine.

I wonder when Q will be back. Last night in postgame, Rick said "injuries are part of the game, we're going to get him back in a couple of weeks." A few days before that, he mentioned that Q will "probably" miss the Pitt game. :)

So.... he's reportedly out 6-8 weeks with a broken bone in his hand. He played well last night, and 6-8 weeks is March 8-22. :(

ACC Tourney is March 7-11, NCAA 1st/2nd round is March 16-19, second week is March 23-26.

Hope this timeline by Coach P is more than is needed to heal and come back.

Tough news to digest after such a great game last night. Hicks was just settling in and contributing well. I really hate to hear about the broken bone in his hand. That just sucks. Hopefully the young man can keep a positive attitude and stay engaged with the team while he heals. Hoping he's a fast healer. :(

Hate to hear that about the young man. He's been such a contributor since sniders been out. Big games against FL. State and Pitt

Dino Gaudio made some mentioned of how tough Hicks was and it sounded like he knew when it happened. Surprised that he was able to play through the pain.

It would be great if Snider can get back by BC, so he can have some feeling of live action before VA. That would give him a week and a half from now. Given the original estimates of how long he'd be out, that would seem to work. If he's healing as expected, that is.

The way we are playing, I'm looking forward to the game with VA. I think this team is shaping up, but we could really use Snider back for that.
