I’ve gone to the games. I’ve supported the program, I’ve spent the money. I waited until Saturday’s Georgia Tech loss faded a little but I’ve had enough. Somehow, someway Petrino needs to be shown the door. I’m done, I came to this realization today. Add up everything and he has to go!

Take it for what its worth because Tim Sullivan literally only posts negative things about Louisville but his new article seems to indicate that the board isn't currently in a position to make a change.

Our best hope is he moves on to another gig, or big time boosters pony up for his buyout. The likelihood is he gets another year to turn things around. That could be very costly.

Chris Redman was on Deener's show this morning. Chris essentially owes his NFL career to Petrino. Bobby brought him back to life, professionally speaking. So, you'd think Chris would paint a rosy picture for BP. He didn't. He basically said recruits don't want to play for Petrino.

Louisville is in a very unusual situation that will be interesting to follow the next few months.

Getting rid of Petrino won't be easy but if the season goes the way its trending I can't imagine how pissed and fed up the fan base will be all Summer. You'll be able to get tickets with a gas fill up at Kroger this time next year.

Louisville is basically in the unenviable position of probably not being able to afford the buyout but also not being able to afford keeping him. Interesting to see how it plays out.

Let’s finish the season. Give this team a chance to turn it around. The talent is there. Something needs to click and when it does, we will be very competitive.

I would love to be wrong. Can’t see us getting to more than 4-8. And, that’s a stretch.

The crux of the article are the statements from Tom Meeker. Whereas his statement regarding the university "not being in a position" to buy Petrino out - might be technically true - nor or they in a position to sit back and watch the program slide into the point where a total rebuild would be required. How much money will you have when there are 25K fans in the stands? There will no doubt have to be some partnership between the university and donors - both corporate and individual to make it happen. I believe that the will is there on the donor side and, I believe that grissom's interest in finishing what he started - specifically includes the removal of the last vestige - Petrino.

Where Meeker completely lost all credibility regarding the current situation IMO, is when he made the said that he believed that the "program was in good hands". Given that the topic was Petrino - I'll assume that he was specifically talking about Petrino's influence on the program. There is no objective metric that an unbiased and knowledgeable person could look at the state of the football program right now and believe that it - from a coaching perspective - is "in good hands".

Cards beat Wake forest and SuCkS.
Finish 4-8.
Unacceptable with such a talented team by a coach with 15 yrs as a HC.
He has to go.

We have little choice but to stick with Petrino. His current contract has us handcuffed. Next year will be better, hopefully.

The wife and I have been season ticket holders since 1976. At this point, if they do not hire Brohm and fired Petrino, we are seriously consider not renewing them any longer. We know football. And we see the 2-10 or 3-9 season happening. And we think UK will massacre us this year!
