Utah Jazz rookie Donovan Mitchell is a sponsorship free agent no longer, as he signed a multi-year deal with Adidas today.
The No. 13 pick in this year’s NBA Draft has been a force during the Summer league, averaging 19 points, 4.5 assists, 3.0 steals, 2.0 rebounds per game.
He joins James Harden, Kristaps Porzingis, Damian Lillard, Joel Embiid and quite a few other high profile NBA players as an Adidas-sponsored athlete.
Mitchell was quick to tweet his thanks with the prayer hands emoji in response to the news:
The Jazz may have lost Gordon Hayward to free agency, but at least they have an explosive young athlete in Mitchell moving forward.
I was a bit sad- but not surprised- to see him go pro and would've loved for him to come back but there is no doubt Mitchell made the right choice going to the NBA when he did.
