I missed the game last night. Grandson has prodded me into making the journey tomorrow night. One last trip to see THE Cards in. the Hall. Maybe one or two more! The game was awesome to watch. Took me back to when UofL basketball was really relevant, successful and a must see experience. Russ was Russ last night, especially down the stretch. Siva was in championship form, dropping dimes all around. Damn I miss that excitement.
Everyone should come out if they have the ability to. Tuesday night was a perfect night of Louisville basketball and I can’t recommend watching these guys enough.
That’s why I only mentioned THIS game. He was 4-21 from the field, 1 of 6 from three, 3-7 from the free throw line and…0 assists. It was clearly “not his day” but yet he continued to take forced shots and ignore open teammates down the stretch. Same tendencies he had in college.A little harsh there on Russ. No one else on the court wanted to shoot. Kuric was taken out because he wouldn't take it to the goal. The bigs couldn't hang on to the ball inside. This team needed a wing forward with shooting skills.
💯%I think it was more of this stupid rule of reaching a certain score. Once they were two points away, it led to bad and hurried shots. Look, it took a lucky circus shot for the other team to reach that score.
Yea they definitely were gassed, and I would had liked to see Mayo subbed in.I actually like the set up. They just didn’t execute. I think they were gassed and a substitution wouldn’t have been a bad idea. Tough to expect them to execute only being together for 10-15 days.
I agree you see why none of these guys are in the NBA. Russ is too small and a scorer. Peyton is too small but is a wonderful PG. This is more of how good the NBA is than a criticism of the players because I think they are terrific players.
People need to understand it takes alot to put an alumni team together players, coaches, support staff, etc. You know these are individuals that are stll trying to earn a living and support their family's daily. We will really never know who is interested . I see fans are now calling for certain players it's not gonna work like that.Yea they definitely were gassed, and I would had liked to see Mayo subbed in.
Do y’all think it’ll be a yearly thing for them to play in it and host?
They had a great turnout!
I hope so, I’d love to see what roster changes they’d make year to year, seeing who comes in and goes out. In the earliest rendition of their roster I think they were supposed to have Steve Enoch, which would’ve been huge in their last game.Yea they definitely were gassed, and I would had liked to see Mayo subbed in.

People understand just fine no one said it’d be easy, but there are teams that have done it for years now. Not to mention they had a team lined up but the tournament didn’t think they were known enough. Now that the ville has shown they could bring in fans.People need to understand it takes alot to put an alumni team together players, coaches, support staff, etc. You know these are individuals that are stll trying to earn a living and support their family's daily. isn't Twill in prison for up to 20 years, would be hard to play himEarl Clark would have made the biggest difference on this team. If he wasn't injured or T Will would have played, they'd been lights out. GO CARDS!
