SO I think we can all agree that outside of the SEC West and Big 10 East...right now you really can't say that any conference division is tougher than the other, as I say Power 5 wins are Power 5 wins. Now those 2 tough division are a bit more special but everything else is still tough to do and we just had a 2nd place finish in one of those divisions.

Clemson going undefeated in the ACC, yeah they didn't beat any good teams but going 13-0 against a power 5 schedule with ease is still great. Notre Dame plays 10 power 5 opponents plus an AAC ranked Navy this year. They don't have a FCS team on their schedule. Back to back 11 win seasons for them is still impressive.

The SEC West and Big 10 East have....
Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Michigan State. Not to mention Mississippi State was #1 and played in multiple NY6 bowls over the last decade, TAMU has had some elite talent but just can't compete with the big dogs. Those Divisions are just on another level.

The rest of the Power 5 is just kind of the same...heck you can add the AAC into the mix if you take out the elite teams...what's left? 1 or 2 ranked teams and a bunch of above average. Some underachieving programs with talent (FSU, Tennessee, Miami, USC, Nebraska, Texas, USC)

The SEC East maybe you could say is good? They have Florida and Georgia...but after that it's a bunch of above average teams. The only thing they can hang their head on is recruiting rankings and NFL picks.

Big 10 West? Wisconsin is an established power but nowhere near elite. Minnesota & Iowa just feast on the bottom of that conference.

ACC Coastal has the best team in the nation. FSU is down but usually they have more talent than anyone in the nation. The rest of the teams are as good as the other teams.

The Big 12 is Oklahoma right now and everyone else? Baylor had a good year but were a paper tiger.

Then look at the Pac-12 overall? No elite teams and a few good teams at the top

ACC Atlantic is just a bunch of above average teams and now top team.

The AAC gets looked down on, but they boast 3 ranked teams overall in their conference and it's hard to say they can't be looked down upon. Maybe not Power 5 level top to bottom, but it's really good football.

Every conference has (usually) 1-2 really really good teams and 2-3 more good ones.

Everybody else from all conferences are pretty equal.

IMO.

Let’s count the bowl wins when it’s over.

Its called Parity with 3-4 exceptions.

Pretty much has always been that way and likely always will be that way.

Hard for those not in that club to crash into that club.

ACC is fine, as are the other conferences you brought up. Right now there are three, four at the outside insanely good programs, maybe that many more at the doorstep. Everybody else is pretty much on any given game day anything can happen.
Makes it the greatest game around

Baylor is not a “paper tiger”.
