I'll bet anything they agreed not sue if the monetary amount was more or less made to go away. In return the stooges got to vacate '12-'15 and 'stick it to RP and TJ and us the UofL fans. They care/d nothing about retaining banners etc. They just wanted to stick it to RP,TJ and us. Now they have done Bevin's deed(for some big uk donors, who were peeved over real estate deals and the NBA), and a few of you ------- still defend this BOT and ---A.D.

brooks, I'd give that OP about ten "likes" if I could...

The "stooges" did not devise the legal strategy. They were not responsible for losing this case. But, if they did make some type of "bargain" (which I seriously doubt) to keep the financial penalties at 600k in exchange for not appealing, that was probably a good deal.

The attempts to deflect this on the current administration are both admirable and delusional.

Well, they did fail with their appeal. I know, I know. But, they still failed. And, they retained Smrt. They suck.

If it helps, we can make full account of how many different ways the clown show has failed in a remarkably short time frame. Count me in on that and knuckles out...

The current administration has certainly made some missteps. I’ve mentioned several of them in other threads. But to indict them in this situation is ridiculous. And for whatever reason you are completely incapable of recognizing missteps by Jurich.

Because Jurich should not have been fired and even by Postel's own performance reviews Jurich was exceptional. Jurich is going to get a lot of money from the university and if I was him I would sue the university for defamation and libel.

It’s been rehashed a thousand times but there were reasons to release Jurich. It remains to be seen if a “with cause” dismissal was warranted. I really don’t think Jurich would’ve wanted to work under the additional oversight and procedures coming. I’m guessing he would’ve felt pretty hamstrung.

There weren't legit reasons to fire Jurich, just concocted and exaggerated ones. And the events that transpired had little to do with his firing. It was purely a power play.

But I do agree that Jurich would have walked away anyway. That itself is ANOTHER indictment of your clown show; they made a bad situation worse which they're incredibly adept at. Jurich would have taken himself out at likely far less cost and without looking as much like a martyr. The clowns illustrate once again how much they're unfit to manage...
