The Amazing Race premiers in 3 weeks ... and for those who have never watched this pretty entertaining show, it is a race around the world for pairs of people, usually with a connection between them (one season, they paired complete strangers, which was kinda fascinating). So you get mother-daughter, father-son, former teammates, brother-sister, fiances, husband-wife, etc etc etc ... you get the picture. In the past, there was a couple of U of L grads, sisters, one who played volleyball at U of L and the other who played basketball at U of L. They did really well ... finishing in 4th, getting all the way to Beijing China.
This upcoming season --- which was completed quite a long time ago, but due to COVID, now has a solid spot in the TV rotation -- features two teams with U of L connections.
-- father - son team, Jerry and Frank Eaves.
-- former NFL teammates - DeAngelo Williams and Gary Barnidge
Here's a link to the cast .... I think both of these teams have a shot at winning it ... there will be adversity. Whoever handles that the best, without turning on their partner, usually does the best. But there's some random obstacles -- like language barriers, delayed flights, and not reading the instructions on the tasks each leg that can trip you up.
