"The AD Search Planning Group will solicit feedback from UL constituencies........ and share it with the Search Firm, to help the Firm develop the Final Position Description. "
In other words, develop a job description, that list qualifications needed. Since their Mission in clearly stated, it would be entirely appropriate, for UL Stake Holders to start sharing their Feedback. I thought I would start a thread to get that ball rolling. Listed below, are some qualifications that I believe, would be essential in any Candidate considered. 1. , 2., etc listed in order of importance. Hoping we can get a lot of comment, and the message Board Staff can forward it to the Planning Group.
1. Applicant should have excellent Fund-Raising skills. This in a Non- Profit, Quasi- Government, or School Environment. Previous experience, at a High-Level Division University, Preferred. Strong Community Ties, to Louisville, Kentucky area, Preferred. Able to produce tangible Fund-Raising Results, in the upcoming Sports Year 2022-2023.
2. Must have High Level Division One University, Sports Adm Skills, and experience. This in both Top Revenue producing Sports, of Football, and to a more secondary degree Basketball. In addition, also strong experience, in Women's Collegiate Sports, and Title # 9 Compliance, preferred,
3. Must have excellent Interpersonal Skills, and able to work closely with High Level, Division One University Coaches, and Players. Previous references required, to confirm these abilities.
4. Preferred a UL Grad, but in lieu of that, have had direct contact, with working with the University of Louisville, either as an Administrator, Coach, Player, or all of the above.
5 Bachelor's Degree in Sports Adm, or similar discipline required. Master's Degree Preferred.
This should be enough to get the ball rolling, hope we can generate a lot, that the Staff can pass along to the AD Search Planning Group.
