They charter to all their games. In the NCAA tourney all teams get chartered. That is one of the neat things for the small schools many of whom fly commercial in season.

"Neat" is one way to describe it. If it is furnished by the NCAA, it's another one of the socialist aspects of the NCAA tourney that should go by the wayside when the P5 take it over...

Yes, the NCAA funds that. It is an expense the NCAA incurs when putting on this otherwise highly profitable playoff. However there are some mileage exceptions. For instance, UK bussed from Lexington, Hampton U bussed from Columbus.

Anyways, as a college athlete who had to either bus it or fly commercial to away games, yes it was "neat" to actually fly charter when we reached the NCAA playoffs.
 
This is nice to see. Pitino is great at getting his players to be loose and to enjoy the moment(s) of the NCAA tournament.

I just hope the ball finds its way through that round thing with nets dangling from it on Friday night on a regular basis.
