I'm hearing that the conversation with Kolby Smith went extremely well and the family talked to him at length on a variety of topics. From speaking with a source close to the situation it seems that the visit did help ease some uncertainties but some still exist due to the head coach uncertainty. The source did go on to say that they felt that Sam's commitment rests more so in the relationship of Snyder with Kolby Smith and Richard Owens than with the school itself and they are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the new head coach and what that may mean for Smith and Owens.
