I don't think it hurts anything. You want WVa to have swagger and confidence, to not back down.
I agree it sounds stupid, but it is a no loose proposition for him... if he's right, he predicted it... if he's wrong, no one expected them to win anyway...
It's not like UK needs any extra motivation...

Yup. UK doesn't need any more motivations than it already has. Frankly.....I think we handle WVU quite easily. What happened in 2010 won't happen again for Huggy and WVU. I guarantee that.
I think UK's only problem this year has been intensity and interest. They are generally good enough to win most games with

Those two were able to back up their big talk. Miles hasn't proven himself yet. We'll know in about 26 hours.

Nothing wrong with talking smack. Boxers do this at the weigh in all the time nothing more than a tactic to get in your opponents head. Hell Louisvilles own .The greatest Ali mastered the technique. He even said that he done it for that reason and that in some fights he didn't feel he was the better fighter. Hey besides these are still kids.

I know this much, when I was playing and some idiot got a bad case of diarrhea of the mouth, I did my very best to smack the stupid out of them on the court. WCS has already stated that Miles has opened his mouth and added fuel to the fire.
It's on now, and WVU is going to get crushed if UK plays up to their potential. This game won't even be close now if that turns out to be the case. Not after this frosh decided to talk ish before the game. He was stupid for saying it and I promise you Huggy Bear is pissed off about it.

I never really understood it either. I know you want.confidence going into the game but there's no sense in talking about the other team. Just them them how good u are and let that be the end of it. Cause like everyone said uk doesn't need anymore motivation than what it already has.
Talk or no Talk I think UK wins this guy by 15 or so. UK is too big for what WVU does they will just throw over the top of pressure and have fast breaks and dunk on WVU all day. Game won't be close.
I don't think WVU can press the majority of the game. The Cayuts guards are too big (the twins are 6'6") and can throw over the press, and they are lightning quick in transition. I think they do it just enough to harrass them and put bodies on them, beat them up. But mostly they need to go zone, again be physical, push them around. If Cauley-Stein is dunking, you put a body on him anyway, get in his head. WVU fouls more than any team in the country and they will use their deep bench tonight. Basically, WVU needs to do what UC did, but with a better and deeper team. Huggins' team will not be intimidated, this game will be ugly.
Yes they did, but so what, your rhetoric is getting old... that has NO bearing on this game or this team. The only thing in common are the coaches, all players have moved on. That was a helluva game by WVa, they shot the lights out that night, UK couldn't hit anything from the outside but got desperate and kept trying. That is the beauty of the NCAA tourney... upsets happen all the time.
I don't see this UK team falling into the same pattern. Too many weapons, too much inside presence, etc. I'd be surprised if it's closer than 15.

You were right, my blue friend. That game was ugly and not in the way I anticipated. I was rooting hard for WVU but that was just a beatdown.
