Just throwing this out there, but I'd love to see it. Let Jeff and Charlie build them into something special. People can say what they want, but Strong is the best DC candidate out there. If Purdue really wants to go big, they'll make a run at him.

10.7 million reasons to be exact. He's not going to give up that money nor should he. Make Texas pay every red cent THEN go get a coaching job, or retire. He'll have options.

Respectfully disagree fellas. It's not like he's hurting for money now, and it's not like he'd coach for free at Purdue. They need to pony up a fat DC contract for him and make the offer. Let his pride and wanting to rebuild his reputation take over from there.

These guys are like Generals in the military. They could be making more money doing something different (such as sitting out) but pride and leadership play such a huge role in how the operate.

Charlie is not going to be a D.C.anywhere. He is a head coach, and will sit a year or two, collect that money, and get a pretty good gig somewhere.

They are giving Jeff a couple million a year for coaches salaries Hell he will probably pay Brian a million a year to be the QB coach.
