First time I ever listened to a Calipari post game radio show, but I was curious how he could defend himself after what I perceived as being out-coached. Perhaps others may have listened as well, and can explain what I heard .......... both Tom Leach (not sure he is the one who conducts the post game interview) and Calipari spoke as if they were out of breath. Unless they had just climbed steps, each talked as if they were experiencing public speaking anxiety, obviously uncharacteristic of two professionals with a lot of exposure to the microphone. The "unease" in their respective voices remained over the entire interview ..........I left with the impression that beyond the emotional loss, something else happened after the game that affected both parties.

As far as content of the exchange, in addition to Calipari blaming the officiating for Fox, Adebayo and Monk fouls in the 1st half, Cal assigned responsibility for the loss on "players who did not show up and who missed open shots". Pretty shallow on Cal's part, and while he did not mention specific identity of the players ........Willis, Mulder and Fox were obvious candidates that most suspect he was referencing.

One redeeming point in the interview, Cal acknowledged that he should have called timeout when Williams went to the zone, which took the Fox "dribble drive" out of play. Williams clearly out coached Calipari.

Personally, I would prefer to listen to nails on a chalk board than to listen to anything out of that guys mouth. His voice makes my skin crawl. What a slime bucket.
